In Russia, a kiss causes controversy

Russian athletes Kseniya Ryzhova and Yulia Gushchina gave each other a kiss atop the podium shortly after receiving medals for their victory in the women's 4X400 relay final at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow last week. The kiss has stirred debates from both pro- and anti-gay rights groups, as Russia, which passed anti-gay propaganda laws will soon host the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Jane Buchanan, associate director for Europe and Central Asia at Human Rights Watch, gives us an idea of how this debate is impacting the LGBT movement in Russia. (Photo: AP Images).
