Investigative reporter questions safety of U.S. nuclear arsenal

During the Cold War, the nuclear arsenals of the former Soviet Union and the United States dominated the conflict. Eric Schlosser is author of the book Command and Control: Nuclear Weapons, the Damascus Accident, and the Illusion of Safety. In his book, Schlosser details recently declassified documents that show the safety and security of the U.S. nuclear arsenal has often been at risk - and still is. He’ll sit down with us to talk about numerous nuclear weapons accidents during the Cold war, especially in the U.S., President Obama’s plans to update the U.S. nuclear arsenal and the competency of the people charged with safeguarding America’s nukes.
