Initial reports of the six major powers coming to a tentative agreement with Iran on its nuclear program now describe the current state of events with words like “chaos, disunity and cacophony”. Though the parties are reportedly “close” to paving the way for future talks, movement has stalled on details such as the lifting sanctions on Iran. Joe Cirincione is a proliferation expert and president of the Ploughshares Fund. He’ll tell us what he thinks is happening behind the scenes and what the chances are for success.
