Is it time to re-evaluate the strategy against ISIS?

In a speech this morning President Obama said the goal of the U.S against ISIS is to “destroy this barbaric organization.” But the President pushed back when asked whether it was time for the U.S. to re-evaluate its strategies for defeating ISIS. During the Democratic debates over the weekend Hillary Clinton said the US needed to “ look at ISIS as the leading threat of an international network. It cannot be contained—it must be defeated.” Clinton was not the only American politician, in the aftermath of the Paris terror attacks, to suggest more needed to be done to defeat ISIS. We’ll take a look at the strategies for defeating ISIS- everything from cutting off financing to preventing the recruitment of men and women with Cherif Bassiouni, professor emeritus of law at DePaul University.
