Is this the beginning of the end for President Mugabe?
Recent mounting pressure on President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe reached a fevered pitch this weekend, after he read the wrong speech at parliament’s opening session. Instead of reading his intended remarks, Mugabe, now 91, re-read a previous speech. But today he called parliament together and made them listen to “the right speech”. Piers Pigou is the project director for Southern Africa at Crisis Group. He joins us to discuss the mix-up and the state of the Mugabe administration.
