Jane Goodall Wants Young People To Save the Planet
Renowned primatologist and environmental activist Dr. Jane Goodall joins Worldview to talk about Roots and Shoots, a youth service program she founded in 1991. Roots and Shoots encourages youth to become active in the fight to ensure a sustainable future for people, animals and the environment. Having completed more than 50 years of research, today Goodall travels the world 300 days per year, speaking about threats to chimpanzees and the environment. On today’s show, she tells us how a trip to Chicago ignited her passion for activism. Goodall is the founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and a UN Messenger of Peace.
