Jewish Voice for Peace calls itself an organization “inspired by Jewish tradition to work for a just and lasting peace according to principles of human rights, equality, and international law for all the people of Israel and Palestine.”

The Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago’s stated mission is to impact “every aspect of local and global Jewish life, providing human services for Jews and others in need, creating Jewish experiences and strengthening Jewish community connections.”

In a new report and at a recent Chicago press conference, Jewish Voice for Peace accused the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago of “funnel[ing] hundreds of thousands of dollars to anti-Muslim hate groups in the years 2011-2014 through its donor-advised funds.”

We speak with representatives from both sides on this issue:

  • Lesley Williams, member of Jewish Voice for Peace
  • Hatem Abudayyeh, member of the United States Palestinian Community Network and
