Her detention in Libya with three other New York Times journalists made international news. Addario’s new book “It’s What I Do” explains how she’s negotiated difficult circumstances in Somalia, Afghanistan, Sudan, Iraq and countless other hot spots. The book offers an inside account of one of the world’s most demanding jobs.
