According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights at least 250 have died in Aleppo over the last nine days, including many children. Several hospitals have also been bombed in the last week. 

US Secretary of State John Kerry is in Geneva, trying to establish a ceasefire in Aleppo and has accused the Syrian government of “blatantly violating” a previous agreement to halt the fighting and allow humanitarian aid into the region. 

Joshua Landis, director of the Center for Middle East Studies at the University of Oklahoma, joins us to talk about the potential for an agreement.
