Movie Director, Jason Reitman, has carved out a niche in comedy that deals with transitional moments in life. His 2007 film Juno, about an unexpected high school pregnancy, became a cult classic, and his 2011 Young Adult, about a 37-year-old divorcee who moved back to her hometown, earned numerous award nominations. WBEZ Film Contributor and director at Facets Chicago, Milos Stehlik, interviews the world’s great filmmakers. Today he’ll chat with Reitman about his new film that is unlike his previous work. The Front Runner captures the drama of the historic week when 1988 Democratic Presidential favorite, Gary Hart (played by Hugh Jackman), saw his candidacy and political career crumble after revelations of his alleged affair with Donna Rice Hughes (played by Sara Paxton).
