Milos Stehlik interviews Sarah Gavron, director of ‘Suffragette’
The movie “Suffragette” was inspired by true events- the fight for women’s equality in 20th -century Britain. The film, by director Sarah Gavron, chronicles the fight for the right to vote, and centers around the story of Maud, a housewife who defies her husband for the cause. The movie stars actress Carey Mulligan, who’s been a vocal proponent for more equality for women in the film industry. Film contributor Milos Stehlik sat down with Gavron to talk about the film.
