WBEZ’s Film Contributor, Milos Stehlik of Facets Chicago, has always been skeptical of the trend of streaming services, like Netflix and Amazon Prime, releasing major films, and bypassing theaters. He feels the viewer misses out on a major component to the film experience. Nevertheless, Milos does like some of Netflix’s latest offerings: “Ballad of Buster Scruggs”, “Dovlatov”, and “Happy as Lazzaro”. But, he will review one theater release, “Stan and Ollie”, a biopic on the legendary comedy team, Laurel and Hardy.
