Milos Stehlik reviews two movies opening this weekend

Colin Firth and Emma Stone star in Woody Allen’s May-December romance, "Magic in the Moonlight" which is set on the French Riviera and opens today. But this time around, Allen’s real-life is tempering the enthusiasm which greeted his previous features, “Blue Jasmine” and “Midnight in Paris.” Another romantic movie opening today is Michel Gondry’s “Mood Indigo” which stars Audrey Tatou. Here the romance takes some inventive twists with such mechanical contraptions as a cocktail-making piano. We’ll find out if there is true magic in “Magic in the Moonlight” and take a look at how Gondry translated Boris Vian’s cult French novel to the screen with Milos Stehlik, director of Facets Multimedia and WBEZ’s film contributor.
