Milos Stehlik, director at Facets Chicago, interviews the world’s great and innovative filmmakers for Worldview. For today’s “Master Class”, he chats with Iranian-Swedish film director and screenwriter, Ali Abbasi, about his new film, Border. In the movie, Tina, a customs officer, through an “extraordinary sense of smell”, can sense when a guilty person is trying to hide something. But when Vore, “a suspicious-looking man”, walks into her life, Tina’s abilities are thrown into chaos. Milos will take a deep dive deep with Abbasi into some of the avant garde visuals and concepts behind Border. A film Milos says is “probably the most original film I’ve seen this year.”
