What does it mean to have one foot in India and one in America? Actress, playwright, and director, Minita Gandhi, tries to answer through her autobiographical dark-comedy play, Muthaland. This one-woman show explores a young Indian-American woman who is forever changed when, on a retreat to her homeland, she unearths family secrets, confronts sexual assault, and ultimately discovers her voice. Gandhi joins Worldview to share her emotional story.
