Dr. Mohammed Omer is an independent journalist, based in Gaza. He’s been traveling across the U.S., visiting the U.S.-Mexico border and Ferguson, Missouri to research similarities between U.S. immigration and urban policy and Israeli policy in Gaza.
Omer is author of the book Shell Shocked: On the Ground Under Israel’s Gaza Assault. His Op-Eds have appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Nation and Vice. Omer is currently a visiting Research Scholar at Harvard University.
