The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is facing one of its most difficult geopolitical crisis in years as Russian troops remain along the border with Ukraine. At a press conference this week NATO’s secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that NATO was putting an end to “all practical and military cooperation” with Russia. He went on to say that “Through its actions, Russia has chosen to undermine the very foundations upon which with our cooperation is built.” NATO also reiterated its commitment to protecting all its member nations.
