The U.S. has been leading a series of talks between the Israelis and the Palestinian Authority in the hopes it will lead to a new framework for a peace agreement. Many polls suggest that Israelis and Palestinians have very different views on what that kind of agreement should include. Now, the University of Maryland has developed and fielded a survey in Israel and the Palestinian Territories that asked the public, among other things, “If they were to advise their negotiators, what would they say?” Shibley Telhami, one of the authors of the survey, joins us to discuss the results.
