The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Nigeria free of Ebola virus transmission. In the country, eight people died out of a reported 20 cases, but 898 people came in contact with those 20 people, according to the World Health Organization. Nigeria contained the virus by sending officials door-to-door to explain the disease, and by using mobile phones to report symptoms. The country has been free of new cases for 42 days.
