North Koreans marked the second anniversary of the death of Kim Jong II with a series of ceremonies. At the memorial, political and military leaders pledged their loyalty to the country's current leader, Kim Jong Un. The loyalty pledges came less than a week after Kim Jong Un had ordered the execution of his uncle, Jang Song Thaek. According to news reports, Jang Song Thaek had been plotting to take over power. Bruce Cumings, author of The Korean War: A History and history professor at the University of Chicago, joins us to discuss family politics in North Korea.
