On Wednesday, President Obama is expected to outline his strategy for combating the Islamic State, which may include authorizing U.S. airstrikes in Syria. Obama has already authorized limited military airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq, although he has said any policy put forth by the administration will not include troops on the ground. We’ll discuss possible strategies for containing ISIS with Joshua Landis, director of the Center for Middle East Studies at the University of Oklahoma.
