Add Zimbabwe to the list of dictatorships spooked by the uprisings in North Africa. The regime charged 46 people with treason yesterday. During the past decade, the situation in Zimbabwe has deteriorated with political violence and inflation rates that are unimaginable for most Americans. The book, Hope Deferred: Narratives of Zimbabwean Lives, lets the people of Zimbabwe explain how they get by. One of the book’s editors, Peter Orner, shares stories of the people behind the testimonials.
