During the past decade, the situation in Zimbabwe has deteriorated with political violence and inflation rates that are unimaginable for most Americans. The book, Hope Deferred: Narratives of Zimbabwean Lives, lets the people of Zimbabwe explain how they get by. One of the book’s editors, Peter Orner, shares stories of the people behind the testimonials.
