Oxfam calls on food and beverage companies to combat climate change
Oxfam America unveiled a new report this week called “Standing on the Sidelines: Why food and beverage companies must do more to tackle climate change.” The report advocates for big food companies to assume a more aggressive role in combating greenhouse gas emissions caused by their supply chains. Oxfam also calls on these companies to deal with unsustainable land use and deforestation as a result of their business practices. Irit Tamir, special advisor in the private sector department of Oxfam America will join us to detail the report.
