Veteran photographer Robert Nickelsberg has been covering Afghanistan since 1998. He began his work in the region based in New Delhi, where Time magazine had its South Asia bureau. He’s made more than 50 trips inside the country since then and documented his experience in new book, Afghanistan: A Distant War. He joins us to talk about his work and the current political situation inside Afghanistan. (Photo: Robert Nickelsberg)
