This week international leaders, scientists and activists will gather at the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24). The conference, being help in Poland’s coal country, will cover a variety of issues surrounding climate change and renewable energy. The U.S., Brazil, and Australia have all publicly condemned supposed penalties imposed by U.N. climate commitments. As evident by recent events in France, increasing taxes on consumer energy consumption without an alternative can result in mass upheaval. To discuss we are joined by Mariana Panuncio-Feldman, the Senior Director of International Climate Cooperation for the World Wildlife Fund. Also joining us is Alden Meyer, the Director of Strategy & Policy for the Union of Concerned Scientists.  Both Meyer and Panuncio-Feldman are currently in Katowice, Poland for the Climate Conference.
