President Modi slashes cabinet positions in India

Narendra Modi was officially inaugurated as prime minister of India on May 26. On his first day in office he slashed the number of ministers in his cabinet from to 46. Under the last administration there were 71. The move is part of his campaign promise of “less government,” and “more governance.” We’ll take a look at Modi’s first few days in office with Sumit Ganguly, a professor of political science and director of the Center on American and Global Security at Indiana University-Bloomington and visiting Buffett professor at Northwestern University.
