Remembering Iranian Filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami, and Ghana NGO Right To Be Free

On today’s show:

  • We remember the Iranian film great Abbas Kiarostami, who passed away on July 4th at the age of 76.
  • After hearing Ghanaian Eric Peasah’s story about his work to rescue and rehabilitate child slaves who have been trafficked into Ghana’s fishing industry, Chicagoan Lori Dillon created a local branch of Peasah’s NGO, Right To Be Free. We speak to them about their work spreading awareness and educating schoolchildren about enslaved children in Ghana.
