Report documents violence against refugee women and girls
Four out of five refugees in Syria are either women or children. There’s a new report out from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) called Are we listening: Acting on our Commitments to Women and Girls Affected by the Syrian Conflict. The report features the testimonials of Syrian women who are now refugees. We talk about the report and the plight of Iraqi and Syrian refugees with Sherizaan Minwalla, the IRC’s Women's Protection and Empowerment coordinator.
