Scandals, Russian Bots And French Elections
Two major candidates running in the upcoming French election have been plagued by rumors of scandals. One candidate is accused of having an extramarital affair with another man and the other is accused of having paid his wife with public funds for a job she never did.
Some have accused the Russian media of fueling those the rumors, and there are reports that French intelligence believes Russia will try and influence the election in favor of the populist candidate Marine Le Pen.
