There was once a general belief that during war, medical facilities and institutions like schools, were considered off-limits from attack. But according to a new report by the Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack, that conventional wisdom has faded. Diya Nijhowne, the group’s director, will detail some of the hundreds of attacks on teachers, students and buildings in the last five years alone.
