Sisters of the Living Word Apply Catholic Teachings to Social Justice

The second Vatican council in 1965 resulted in a number of changes to how Catholicism was practiced worldwide, among them a decision that it was time for a "renewal of religious life." The Arlington Heights-based order Sisters of the Living Word took that decision to heart by involving themselves in social issues, or "ministries" as they call them, such as immigrant and racial justice and homelessness. Jerome talks to them about how Catholic beliefs inform their social mission.
