Suicide Bombing In Cairo Kills 25

A suicide bombing attack at St. Peter and St. Paul, Coptic Orthodox Church in Cairo has, to date, killed at least 25 people, and wounded up to 50 more.

The majority of the victims were women and children.

The attacker, Mahmoud Shafik Mohamed Mostafa, apparently was known to law enforcement officials and approached the church under the guise of seeking more information about Christianity.

The Egyptian government has called for official days of mourning and will bury the dead with full military honors, a first for Egyptian civilians.

We talk about the reaction in the Coptic community with Atef MacKar, a Chicago-area physician and President of the group Chicago Copts. He was in the Cairo area at the time of the bombing.
