Survival International Accuses Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro of Genocidal Policies Against Indigenous Tribes

In a new op-ed, the indigenous rights NGO, Survival International, declares indigenous “uncontacted tribes” in Brazil face genocide under newly-elected president, Jair Bolsonaro. Survival states his new policies will accelerate displacement of indigenous peoples from their ancient lands, bring deadly disease, and increase massacres from agribusiness-supported militia. Sarah Shenker, Brazil campaigner for Survival International, will update us on her group’s continued efforts to save various tribes in Brazil from extinction.
