Sweden’s new film ratings system uses the Bechdel Test to rate films based on gender equality. In order to pass this test and receive an A rating, a film must feature two women having a conversation about something other than men. Tove Torbiörnsson, head of the film and society department at the Swedish Film Institute explains why her organization supports these ratings. Film contributor Milos Stehlik will also weigh in to talk about the US ratings system. (Photo: Flickr/black scissorhands)
