Thailand’s prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra, has said she will not step down from power. For weeks, protesters have called for her to resign, saying they want to replace her with a “people’s prime minister.” Her party has been accused of corruption. But Shinawatra says she needs to remain in power until new elections are held in February.
