The Dutch bring their cycling know-how to Chicago

In the Netherlands there are more bicycles than residents and in some of the biggest cities, like Amsterdam, nearly 70 percent of trips are made by bike. It's just a part of life there. Now, Dutch transportation experts have come to meet with city planners in Chicago to see what the city can learn from the Dutch experience to improve its own bikeways. Tom Godefrooij, a sustainable transportation specialist with the Dutch Cycling Embassy and part of the delegation visiting Chicago, gives us a little history on biking in the Netherlands and he’ll tell us what Chicago needs to do to get more people on bicycles.
