“Eve Online” is a multiplayer online video game which has been host to some tense international politics over the past ten years. From a battle to try and remove all Russian players from the game, to a conflict known as the Great War, which changed the ideological landscape of the world, sociologists have been studying how this virtual world imitates real life. Andrew Groen, a freelance journalist has been writing a book about the history of “Eve Online.” He joins us on the show to discuss this unique social experiment.
