On the ballot today in Colorado (Proposition 105) and Oregon (Proposition 92) are referenda to label foods that contain genetically modified organisms or GMOs. A similar measure failed in California. Vermont, Connecticut and Maine have GMO labeling laws. The EU has also passed legislation regarding GMO’s. Julia DeGraw, Northwest organizer for Food and Water Watch, will tell us what’s at stake in the vote.
