The State of Human Rights in Mexico

Pope Francis is focusing much of his trip in Mexico on the issues of corruption and human rights. These are issues that Emilio Alvarez Icaza, Executive Secretary of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, know well. The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights is an autonomous organ of the Organization of American States, and its mission is to “promote and protect human rights” in the Americas. Icaza joins us to discuss the Commission’s work in Mexico.
