By Jerome McDonnellLast week, the Environmental Protection Agency announced it would roll back the Clean Power Plan, an Obama-era policy that sought to cut pollution from electricity production and scale back coal burning. The plan was central to the U.S. commitment at the Paris Climate Agreement.
In another blow to environmental protection, President Trump nominated Kathleen Hartnett White, a hardcore climate change denier, to lead the White House Council on Environmental Quality last week. White runs the Texas Public Policy Foundation, an organization that has claimed Carbon emissions are good for the environment. White joins a growing list of climate change deniers in the White House.
