President Trump met with North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un today, the first meeting of its kind since the beginning of the Korean War. After 5 hours of talks, the two leaders signed a joint declaration to “denuclearize the Korean Peninsula.” In exchange, the U.S. has committed to pulling back on “war games” near North Korea. But for Korea watchers, the devil lies in the details. Many walked away saying this was a commitment to dismantle North Korea’s budding nuclear program, not to seriously pull out of South Korea.
