The House has voted against fast-tracking trade legislation that would have smoothed the path for the multinational Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal. President Obama has lobbied heavily for the trade deal, but has been met with strong opposition from many Democrats. Dean Baker, co-director of the Center for Economic and Policy Research, opposes the deal and says it is bad for workers. He joins us to explain why he hopes fast- track will not succeed.
