U.S. Drone Strike Assassinates Taliban Head, Mullah Akhtar Mansour

President Barack Obama confirmed today that a U.S. drone strike assassinated Taliban head, Mullah Akhtar Mansour in a border region between Pakistan and Afghanistan. 

Obama said that Mansour continually rejected peace talks efforts by the Afghan government and that he continued to target Coalition forces along with innocent civilians. 

 Journalist and writer, Anand Gopal, talks with us about the possible ramifications of Mansour’s death. He’s author of the book, No Good Men Among the Living: America, the Taliban, and the War through Afghan Eyes.
