Vladimir Putin's stance on U.S. military action in Syria

In a New York Times op-ed this week titled 'A Plea for Caution From Russia,' Russian President Vladimir Putin made the case against potential military action in Syria and stressed the importance abiding by processes set forth by the United Nations. He acknowledged that chemical weapons have been used in Syria, but cast doubt who used them. As a senior fellow and director of the Brookings Institution’s Center on the United States and co-author of 'Mr Putin: Operative in Kremlin,' Fiona Hill has examined at length the life and political philosophies of Mr. Putin. She joins Worldview for more insight on the motivations behind the messages he conveyed. (Photo: AP Images).
