A game known as 9-Man is a fiercely competitive variation of volleyball that is played in Chinatowns across the United States and Canada. The sport dates back as far as the 1930s. On this week’s weekend passport, global citizen Nari Safavi is joined by filmmaker Ursula Liang, and YiWei Zhou, who is a 9-Man player that lives in Chicago. Liang is the director of the documentary film “9-Man,” which screens this Saturday at the Chinese-American Museum of Chicago.
