The Chicago Flamenco Festival is celebrating its sixteenth year this weekend. Organized by Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, the 2018 Chicago Flamenco Festival opens tonight Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. For our Weekend Passport segment, internationally renowned flamenco dancer Estrella Morena and singer Amparo “La Repompilla” Heredia join Worldview for a live performance with these flamenco performers. We will also discuss the festival with Antonio Martinez, director of Instituto Cervantes of Chicago. As always, global citizen Nari Safavi will give us a heads up on other great international experiences in Chicago this weekend.
