By Jenny FriedlandWeekend Passport: FutureCity And Urban Development Through Art
By Jenny FriedlandEvery Friday, our cultural contributor and global citizen Nari Safavi joins us for “Weekend Passport,” a segment dedicated to showing you how you can travel the world without ever leaving Chicago. This week, we bring you a special edition from the Chicago Council on Global Affairs’ Pritzker Forum on Global Cities. Mark Davy, founder of FutureCity and Forum attendee, joins us during a live broadcast from the Forum at Chicago’s Revel Fulton Market. He has developed major projects in cities including Boston, Sydney and London. In 2016, he co-founded FuturePace, a “strategic cultural partnership with Pace London.” Through FuturePace’s Gallery Without Walls program, artists develop large-scale art projects for global cities featuring light and digital technology. Davy shares his perspective on art as a force for urban development.
Worldview has partnered with the Chicago Council on Global Affairs to bring you voices from the Pritzker Forum on Global Cities, which runs June 5-7, 2019.
