In 2004, Jim Slama, founder of FamilyFarmed, created the organization’s highest-profile event, the Good Food Trade Show. Held each March in Chicago, the trade show bills itself as America’s oldest and largest expo focused on local and sustainable food.

This year’s EXPO is March 23-24, 2018, at UIC Forum. It includes members from the “Good Food” community, like Dr. Edwin McDonald, who will join us. He is assistant professor of Medicine and associate director of Adult Clinical Nutrition at the University of Chicago. A trained chef, McDonald will be a co-panelist in a discussion titled “Good Food is Good Medicine: The Doc is In: Food, Health, and Quality of Life” on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
