This weekend the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago presents Unwanted, a powerful testimonial of female strength by Rwandan performance artist Dorothée Munyaneza. Munyaneza fled from Rwanda at the age of twelve with her mother, but eventually returned to her homeland to create Unwanted. Unwanted is based on real testimonies of women who survived the horrific genocide against the Tutsis in Rwanda.  The performance features vocals by Holland Andrews (Like a Villain), scenic design by South African visual artist Bruce Clarke, and a live music mix by French electronic composer Alain Mahé. Our global citizen, Nari Safavi, will also join us to give you a couple events to help you plan your international weekend.
