Weighing U.S. military intervention in Syria

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Monday that “What we saw in Syria last week should shock the conscience of the world.” He went on to say that the use of chemical weapons was “undeniable,” and explained that President Obama is deciding how to respond. According to U.S. senior officials, missile strikes in Syria could come as soon as Thursday, but countries like Russia and Iran warn that military intervention could have devastating consequences.
